#MARSISCOMING x Love Lust Faith + Dreams

[warning: extremely long post!] My most favourite band of all times, 30 Seconds to Mars, visited Denmark and had a concert at the Tivoli Gardens. I was stoked just hearing that piece of information so when I went I almost choked out of happiness. I still have a hard time swallowing my food.

Mette went with me, not because she's a massive fan herself but because I'd never shut up about it and apparently she's made a habit of going to every one of Tivoli's "Friday Rock" concerts. Thanks to her, the six hours wait was bearable! They were scheduled to go on at 10PM but at 9:50PM it started to pour and everyone were scrambling for their hoodies and umbrellas and we started to worry about how Tivoli's "cancel in case of rain" policies were, but thank the heavens; the rain miraculously ceased at 9:59PM, and so the weather behaved for the rest of the night. In fact, it was even super pleasant with sporadically yet strategically well placed breezes.

I was super lucky and out of complete coincidence I so happened to buy a C.D. which was then signed later on that night (let me tell you, buying that C.D. was so darn hard that I can't even explain) which means that I stood *RIGHT* in front of them! Like, I wasn't even a meter's distance away from Jared, Shannon and Tomo. At that moment I was in immense shock, so there's actually quite little I remember unfortunately, haha.

The concert was waaay rad- Definitely the best I've ever been to! Good songs, awesome live music, superb entertainment, round balloons, animal shaped balloons. The performance had everything.

 COME BACK TO ME

A Pleasant Outing

" Yellow flowers, red flowers, tulips.

More beautiful than me, tulips.

Beautiful like my daughter, tulips.

Your name is tulip."

Being In a Good Place

Sometimes I wonder what the hell I'm doing. Then maybe "how" I should do it, rarely "why" I do it, and never really for who. I think most people experiences being down and feeling absolutely horrified or depressed about an event. It's even more problematic if you don't take a moment to halt, catch your breath and stare out into space for a little while.

A strong and good network of people can help get your mind of all the negative aspects in your life, and helps putting them in perspective. This is also the case in reverse- that all you might need is a little break from the social and public spotlight and all its drama.

In Denmark we have a superb proverb that goes "Det er, hvad du gør det til" which basically translates into "It becomes what you make of it". Another saying that is a personal favourite, and one I consistently chant to myself in cases of desperation is:

"Don't sweat the small stuff; it's all small stuff."

Never Again?

It was fun having bangs again but I think I'm going to let them grow out. I just can't be bothered with snipping the ends every so often, styling them, making sure they don't split awkwardly etc. I realize that it was really silly of me to cut them a mere week before going to Australia, since it was scorching hot, and if you don't know: an extra layer of whatever on your forehead + 35degrees Celsius= bad idea!

It kind of sucks, as I really like the look. It's can be so chill and yet so done up. Not sure if I'll ever cut them again, it takes ages to grow out a fringe. And to be frank, some of the transitioning phases just look plain stupid.

Mac x Coygirl Blush

This babe was my first ever MAC blush. An odd choice of shade for your first time, I know, and I actually think being inexperienced in the field of "rouge" and then opting to use a bold deep purple shade scared me on a subconscious level. However, I made it work and it's a love of mine. I remember going to the saleslady and she thought it'd be a brilliant colour for my dark brown/black hair and I kind of went along.

The packaging is very no fuss. Simple and durable, the classic MAC case. I like that you can see through the top or I'd never be able to figure out what blush was what- which would frankly piss me off in the long run I think!

It's not all that crazy actually, and can be blended out into this nice sheer shade (well, it IS a sheertone blush!) as seen on the pictures below- it still looks best complimented with a slight touch bronzer in my opinion! Coygirl is such a pretty purply-mauve shade. Sometimes I even think it looks hot pink. It's safe to say that it doesn't get boring with this one! To be honest, I had a hard time dosing the amount of blush when I started using it. Sometimes I feel as if it gets blended away! I learned that applying it a little at a time without buffing it in too heavily is the best strategy.

And yes it looks rad on pale skin and with very dark hair- it adds a little life to one's face without looking freakishly unnatural. It's an interesting shade that I'd recommend to someone who would be interesting in switching their routines up a bit. However, for first timers: go with MAC's cremeblend blush in Brit Wit! It's my all time favourite blush, and the next in line to be reviewed.

Tony Moly x Oriental Gyeol Goun - Two Way Pact SPF48 PA+++

I bought this set when I was in Australia, which now seems like a billion months ago, and I was dead-stoked when I saw the Tony Moly stand. Sydney's population is crazy diverse, and so I was lucky enough to find hyped beauty products in malls and flagship stores that were everywhere. I hadn't actually heard about this specific BB-cream nor about the powder, but the saleslady was so nice and I suppose I was high on the rush of finding the brand in a seemingly dodgy mall. I actually forgot to buy their peach hand creme, which I am still kicking myself about, but alas I did get some other good tidbits, and without further notion; here comes my impression on the Tony Moly Oriental Gyeol Goun - Two Way Pact SPF48 PA+++ (A mouthful right there!)

The presentation of the products is impeccable and true to the image of Korean cosmetics, which basically means to put a lot of effort into the packaging! The box itself is made of this really special "duo-chrome" surface, which changes colour in special lighting. There is an intricate detailing of the flower that is also seen on the box. Inside, the products' packaging matches, with purples and gold. The powder's casing is a bit too bulky in my opinion, but so convenient with a puff and its own sanitary "shelf"and a mirror that I don't mind too much. The powder compact is full size. The BB-cream is just a small version of the original size, so there's not too much to comment on there.

Okay, so now to the products! You get a serious bang for your buck with this BB-cream, as a little goes a looong way. It's full coverage and glides on smoothly. It can tend to high light flakiness so be sure to scrub and moisturize like crazy before daring the product. Its undertones are very neutral; a little ashy, but not to such an extent that it's insufferable. A nice point is the high SPF, but I'd recommend avoiding the paparazzi and their cray-cray flash!
I'm still a little undecided on the powder. On one hand it's good, as it's a light-to medium coverage and blots the face, but on the other hand the staying power is only so-so. But hey, it might just be my skin type that requires extra "mattifying" abilities. I wouldn't re-purchase and it wouldn't be my own first choice of powder, but it might be perfect for the guy or gal who just wants a little bit of product that doesn't make too big of a difference- It really isn't a shabby product, you see. The packaging makes a difference, however, and is probably a big part of why I'm fond of the compact nonetheless!
