Bowl of Fun

Benefit x Porefessional Primer

I had to get it. I mean, it's one of the most hyped primers: Benefit's Porefessional (got to love that name). A primer for me has to smooth out the overall texture of my skin, make my other make up glide on effortless and make it stay put for just a little longer than it would've without it. I'm not totally convinced that this primer in question manages all of that, but I dare say that it has grown on me.

The packaging is fun as most Benefit packaging is. Their colorful designs lack of a "sophisticated air" but it's actually something that I appreciate rather than frown upon, because it makes it so much easier to spot in a drawer full of make up. A sad truth, but a truth nonetheless. The packaging makes for fool proof use, as it's in a tube form, which makes it possible to squeeze out all of the product so not a single drop is wasted.

The smell and texture of it is nice- I could imagine some people being sensitive towards the fruity smell, but I so happen to like it. It glides on smoothly, but I kind of have a hard time figuring out how much I've already applied where.

I'll be honest and say that it doesn't really match up to my primer from Lancôme (La Base Pro), but that's probably due my skin condition rather than the formulation of the product. E.g. I find that the Porefessional does little for dry patches and bumpy skin, but is decent at oil control and making my make up last.

It's a nice product overall and I definitely plan on using it up, but if you asked me whether or not I'd repurchase it, I would most likely reply with a shaky "no".

Earrings x Pilgrim

I had totally forgotten just how uncomfortable stud earrings were before I wore these. Okay, so my problem was mainly due to my headphones and them pushing the small metal pieces into both sides of my head, but alas; one should have to choose between decent sound and looking fabulous. Just my point of view. This is jewelry that I haven't had before, and by that I'm referring to the shape and the cool mint colour. I thought it was too adorable to pass up on.

.. And yes this post was mainly about how pretty the saleslady had wrapped up the studs. I'm a sucker for packaging and presentation. Shoot me.

It's Not.

[delayed] Fashion Week

I was out and about with my siblings and a family friend when we happened to end up in the middle of some fashion week partying. It's still kind of baffling to me how Copenhagen is considered a fashion capital amongst others like New York, Milan, Paris and London. It's just little Denmark! Anyhow, we got to enjoy some free drinks made by some cute bartenders and a nice outing in the center of our oh so charming city. I like it here.

Skinsyge (1845)

"Soud ick al bewenen,
dat hier to bewenen waer,
so had ick wel al de daghen were,
die daer comen in het jaer."

(Skulde mine Taarer trille
For hver en Jammer paa Jord,
Da havde jeg nok at bestille
Hver Dag i det hele Aar.)
